How Do I Update Course Materials on M-Drive? (Timelines, Assessments, etc.)
In this tutorial, we'll use the Baseball10 course as an example.
Step 1: Navigate to the Course Folder
- Open M-Drive.
- Go to the Courses folder.
- Locate the folder with the name of the course that you want to update.
- Example: If you're updating the Baseball10 course, look for the Baseball10 folder.
Step 2: Open the Production Folder
- Inside the course folder (e.g., Baseball10), find and open the production folder. This folder contains all the materials currently in use for the course.
Navigate to the 'production' folder within the course directory on M-Drive.

Step 3: Uploading Files to M-Drive
You will be either updating existing files or uploading new files that don’t currently exist in M-Drive.
3.a: Updating Existing Files on M-Drive
For example, if you need to update timelines, please go to the "timeline" folder
- Click the Upload button.
- Choose Files from the drop-down menu.
- Select the updated file from your computer.

Important: The updated file must have the same filename as the existing file in M-Drive that you want to replace.
- For example, if you’re replacing a file named "SDLCbb10S1.pdf", the new file should also be named "SDLCbb10S1.pdf".

Ensure you update both the DOC and PDF versions of the file.
- If you have an updated Word document (DOC), ensure that you also upload its corresponding PDF version.
- Click on the Replace button to replace the existing file with the updated version
3.b: Uploading New Files
If you are adding a new file that does not already exist in M-Drive:
- Follow the file naming standards provided in the relevant guidelines. If you're unfamiliar with these standards, please follow the YouTube & File Naming Protocals : SaskDLC Support Services to get familiar with them.
- Click the Upload button.
- Choose Files from the drop-down menu.
- Select the file from your computer.

- If you have an Word document (DOC), ensure that you also upload its corresponding PDF version.
Step 4: The blob will update. This process is not instant.
